July 2018 A tranquil heaven perfect for families. We have family over visiting from Ireland so we needed somewhere to cater for a young couple a family of four (10month & 4 year old) and two grandparents.. This house suited everyone perfectly.. Also even though it feels private and secluded it is only a five minute drive to Margaret river town.. thank you Belinda we will definitely be back Sinead & Family June 2019 The home was tucked away in a forest where we enjoyed peace and quiet, and we loved its rustic charm. For anyone hoping to catch sight of Kangaroos in the wild, this place is perfect. The rooms were comfortable, and the home was well-equipped. Great place for children, and adults! Adam Chan January 2018 Belinda is a lovely host, she's very accomodating to our requests and answers messages very quickly. Her house is beautiful, we were so surprised with how well it was equipped. Our guests from overseas thoroughly enjoyed their Australian outback experience, especially watching the kangaroos hopping around so close to the house grounds. We will definitely be back! Clare Feb 2021 A wonderful place to stay while enjoying the attractions of Margaret River. The quiet, secluded location combined with the cute and cosy house (but big enough to fit 4 bedrooms!) allows you to get away from all of life's troubles and live in complete peace. Unfortunately the sudden COVID-19 lockdown forced us to cut our stay short, but Belinda was a very friendly and considerate host and fulfilled all our requests in a timely manner. Thanks Belinda! All in all, I highly recommend Bella Retreat to anyone who wants a unique and very peaceful place to stay in Margaret River. Gabriel Lee January 10, 2017 Thank you Belinda for providing such a fabulous pair of houses for us to stay at last week. We had a fabulous time, celebrating both Xmas and my husband’s 60th! We had all our three adult children plus their partners, in our house, and my older daughter’s husband’s family stayed in the other house. We played lots of table tennis, the two-year old loved the trampoline and we sahred lots of fun bbqs together. Thanks again. It was very quiet in the middle of the forest with kangaroos and birds around. It ‘s a very spacious house clean with load of space and facilities for everyone. The kitchen is huge with 2 fridges! The outdoor area was fantastic and the kids had lot of fun with the 2 nice playgrounds. You fill at home and relax. We would definitively come back. Thank you. Sabrina January, 2016 Tranquil Getaway We had a truly wonderful stay at Bella Retreat, the property was more than we were hoping for. The indoor fire was so welcoming on cold rainy nights and the campfire-pit was a real focus for entertaining and good conversation. The property is set amongst the bush – it was so peaceful listening to the birds and watching the kangaroos, enabling all guests to truly relax. We will not hesitate to book well in advance if we are ever in the region again. Kate, Canberra January 2016 We had a really lovely time at Bella Retreat. The setting is very special and we had no trouble spotting kangaroos in the paddock morning and evening. The trampoline, swings and other outdoor fun things were great for the kids and we very much enjoyed eating out on the various verandahs. We also found it a great spot for access to local wineries and nearby beaches. We struggled a bit with the lack of telephone comms and reception, but the tranquility was on the other hand very welcome indeed. We were a large group with two young babies and the space provided by the two houses was just what we needed. Harold, London August 2016 We spent 4 nights here & absolutely loved it! It is the perfect base to explore the Margaret River region. The facilities were great, and there was plenty to keep our 3 year old nephew entertained. We especially enjoyed sampling the local wine whilst sat on the veranda at Forestview Escape….Spotting Kangaroos & other local wildlife! I’m sure we’ll return in the future. Alastair. July 20, 2015 We have just spent another beautifully relaxing week at Bella Retreat and Forestview Escape. It is such a fantastic place to unwind and spend quality time with family. We had family ranging from 6 months to 80 years and this property caters for all. Whether it be playing in the playground; chilling on one of the many verandas; sitting by the campfire; taking leisurely strolls through the gardens and tranquil surroundings; or watching the kangaroos. Each and every moment is such a delight at this property. We have visited twice over the past two years and hope to stay again next year. We have always found the property very clean and it is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. It is very close to the town centre but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet and have that secluded feeling. I would highly recommend a stay. Thanks once again Belinda! August 13, 2015 The weekend was lovely. We decided not to venture far from the house, and there is so much to occupy the kids they were all very happy to stay put. The trampoline, tyre swing & fire pit were great – the kids loved collecting sticks in the forest with the wheelbarrows. This is the first time we’ve used both houses & that worked out so well – my mum stayed down there with my sister, brother in law & their baby. It was nice and quiet when they need it, and at the same time it was close enough for our kids to wander back and forth whenever they liked to visit Granny. The new addition of the massive deck on the north side is beautiful! We used to love sitting on the south side, on our previous weekends at Bella, but with 12 of us, plus the baby, the deck was perfect, and really adds to the functionality of the house. We look forward to our next weekend at Bella Retreat! Rachel & Family January 30, 2016 “WOW What a place fantastic!!!!! Beautiful, tranquil, magnificent place. The houses were very welcoming. It had everything from kids games to torches for a night walk to see the all the creatures. The kids were amazed. They also loved both playgrounds and the secret tracks they could explore with out the parents to worry. The adults enjoyed the tranquil surroundings. My mother loved your CD collection. The beds were very comfortable. The port-a-cot also And to think it was only five minutes from town. Thank you for a great weekend. The place was fantastic: lots of trees to play with, swings, great exploration around he house and obviously building fires with dad! Despite being in the forest, it is very centrally located: couple of minutes to Caves rd and the beach and 5 minutes to the facilities of Margaret River. Will come again! Our large family who range from 5 months old to 68 years old, all loved staying here and have vowed to make it an annual event. However, nobody wanted to leave Bella as the kids loved the gardens and enoyed the trampoline, exploring the pathways reaching the secret gardens and finding kangaroos in the woods. The adults loved the alfresco and the inviting log fire and wanting for nothing. The board games were a constant hit too. The setting was idyllic and we enjoyed unwinding with a glass of Margaret River wine, watching the birds in the garden and enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The accommodation was roomy and very comfortable, also very clean and well stocked – like home from home. We had family visiting from the UK staying with us and they absolutely loved the house and its wonderful gardens (especially the kangaroos bounding past each morning) The children used up lots of energy playing outside on the trampoline and exploring and our dog enjoyed accompanying us on walks each day and the new sights, smells and sounds he encountered in the bush. Thankyou Belinda for providing a great property for people to enjoy, we would thoroughly recommend Bella Retreat and hope to make a return visit very soon.
